I've worked as a clinical therapist in Alaska for almost five years and in a variety of capacities throughout the mental health field for close to twenty years. The bulk of my clinical training and experience assisting clients focuses on addressing and processing situational distress and anxiety, stage of life transitions, a diverse array of relationship issues, navigating family conflicts, and coping with grief and loss.
My therapeutic orientation begins with recognizing where you are at when you enter therapy and respecting the process of your individual journey. I strive to engage this process with sensitivity and compassion, and value beyond words the manifold ways clients gracefully and patiently school me in this effort. I believe that making the decision to seek therapy takes great courage - it requires a willingness to make oneself vulnerable in ways that can feel scary or risky at any given time during treatment. For these and other reasons, I hope to tailor our engagement in a way that will meet your unique and specific needs in our work together. Fees & PaymentI am currently in network with Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Tricare. I can also provide a super bill for sessions that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if I am not in network with them. I encourage you to reach out concerning my fees for service, as health insurance matters can prove complex and it's imperative you receive the therapeutic services you need with as little hassle and few concerns as possible.
